The driving was weird with multiple cops crashing into you with 500km/h and one second later they can't keep up with your speed and you lose them as if you initiated warp 6.
It was one of the many GTA clones in just a different setting which all came out around the same time (mercenary, scarface, just cause, saints row, true crime, total overdose). Not sure if everyone is on a nostalgia trip but when this game came out it couldn't live up to its hype and players weren't praising it as much as the people in here (neither were critics). Since that moment this has been one of my 10 top go-to games.
